OnCampus Aston celebrates success as first cohort progresses to Aston University
OnCampus Aston is celebrating the 100% progression rate of its first cohort onto degree programmes at Aston University.
They have successfully passed the one-term Master’s Foundation Programme, designed to help international students develop the key academic and English skills required to succeed in their degree level studies, and these students will progress onto a range of top ranked degrees within Aston Business School.
OnCampus Aston is based on Aston University’s Birmingham city centre campus and offers international students the ideal first step in pursuing their studies in the UK. Birmingham is the UK’s second largest city and enjoys a rich and diverse cultural history. With state-of-the-art facilities and a reputation for outstanding student support, Aston University is committed to providing an exceptional student campus experience in the heart of the dynamic and creative city.
Enjoying significant growth and recognition in the last few years, Aston University has established itself as one of the UK’s leading universities, having recently been ranked 25th in the Guardian University Guide which focusses on the quality of teaching, student satisfaction and employability.
Aston Business School is in the top 100 globally for Business and Management (QS World Rankings) and is proud to be shortlisted by Times Higher Education (THE) for ‘Business School of the Year’. The University also won the THE ‘Outstanding Entrepreneurial University’ and is shortlisted for THE ‘University of the Year 2021’.
Ashma, who progressed from the OnCampus MFP Business programme to study MSc Business and Management, says:
“I was able to learn a lot from the tutors and staff. All of the tutors and staff have helped me a lot to cope with the new place, environment and academic style of the UK. The modules I studied during the pre-Master’s programme are helping me in my Master’s programme now. I want to thank you and all the ONCAMPUS staff and tutors for their support.”
Whitney, who progressed from the OnCampus MFP Business programme to study MSc Accounting and Finance, says:
“I never imagined that my time at ONCAMPUS would have such a massive impact on me. The modules were really worth it, as each of them taught me academic language, academic referencing and UK studies generally, which puts me on a higher advantage here at Aston University. The module leaders were nothing short of the best as they were not only good at what they do, but good at being themselves and were very accommodating. Being in a smaller class size made the teaching-learning process easy and I bonded with all of my course mates.”
Professor Kathy Daniels, Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor (Engagement) at Aston University, said:
“Aston University’s partnership with Cambridge Education Group is an important part of our support for international students. We are delighted to welcome the first three students onto our degree programmes, and we look forward to seeing many more students join the University from ONCAMPUS Aston in September 2022.”
International students have the opportunity to study a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Aston University through OnCampus Aston including business, finance, engineering, the health professions and law.
