BMus Music

Your Principal Study should be of a standard equivalent to Grade 8 with Distinction of the RIAM Exams, or the ABRSM.

Postgraduate degrees OnCampus students can progress to at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
Masters in Music Performance (MMus)
Academic requirements: Must pass all academic modules. Applicants should have attained a 2:1 or higher in their undergraduate degree, which need not be in music performance, but still requires and is recommended to have some music studied as applicant will need to be at a specific music standard to join the MMus. Note we do accept students with 2.2.
English requirements: Must have IELTS 5.5 minimum.

Where a student is coming from a non-musical degree, to determine if suitable, a repertoire list, CV and personal statement would be important to understand their background, but as is always the case, the audition will decide the final outcome, i.e., successful postgraduate candidates will normally give a performance at audition that tackles challenging repertoire, is technically assured, and demonstrates some individuality of musical ideas.
