This programme gives you the opportunity to apply for Year 1 of a number of Medicine degrees with our partner universities.

Students who are successful on the Medicine Undergraduate Foundation Programme, and achieve the other prerequisites for entry such as a successful Multiple Mini Interview, may be able to progress to a five-year Medicine degree.

Students who successfully complete the Medicine UFP can also apply to a number of other Medicine-related degrees such as MPAS (Hons) Physician Associate Studies at UCLan and MPharm and Physiotherapy at RCSI.

Students who do not meet the entry criteria for the Medicine UFP should consider the Life Sciences UFP which offers progression to a number of 6 year Medicine degrees at our partner universities.  

About the Medicine Undergraduate Foundation Programme

What will I study?

This programme includes four core modules, taken by all students throughout the course. These modules are: Medical Biology, Chemistry for Medicine, Pure Maths with Statistics and English.
Students will also study a Medicine Skills module. You will have a Personal Tutor to support you throughout the programme. Your Personal Tutor will help you adjust to life and study in the UK, support you to become a successful medicine student, and prepare you for your university interview.

Programme Details, Dates, and Fees

  • Course length: 3 or 4 terms
  • Hours per week: up to 23
  • Minimum age: 17+
  • OnCampus UK North can accept students who turn 17 within one calendar month of the start of term date
All programmes are subject to a £450 registration fee
